One Thing that Changed Everything...

The Butterfly Effect:
One thing changes everything...
At the age of 17 my family moved from Los Angeles, California to Fayetteville, Georgia and - like the butterfly effect - that one thing changed everything... It was a complete paradigm shift that piqued my curiosity for other cultures. Fast forward almost 2 decades and 30 passport stamps later, my ultimate goal as an inclusion and diversity leader is to help others infuse a sense of belonging into their organizational culture for leading more engaged, innovative, and productive teams. I've led many successful enterprise change initiatives along with diversity and inclusion strategies for global Fortune 500 companies - and experienced a few failures along the way too! Each experience served to reveal my life's purpose underscored by core values that have guided my journey.
Psychological safety achieved through inclusion helps create environments where everyone can be their authentic self for enabling better collaboration, inspiring innovation, solving complex problems, and simply living their best life!
BELONGING
Storytelling is the great connector in that it helps us see we are more alike than unalike. When a story touches us deeply, we are inspired to share our own truths and celebrate the intersectionality of life that ultimately unite us.
STORYTELLING
The possibilities of this world are endless. Continuous learning is essential to our global existence. It allows us to navigate rapid change and adapt in a healthy manner. Espousing a spirit of curiosity simply makes it all more fun. :-)
CURIOSITY
Achieving excellence in leadership requires a level of self-awareness characteristic of high emotional intelligence. Each of us were created in the image of excellence and possess a model we can draw from in every aspect of life.
